We’ve got tons of information to go over following E3, plus a winner has been announced in our first Pokemon tournament on this site!
Pokémon at E3
Last week was the much anticipated Electronic Entertainment Expo. This year, Nintendo chose not to hold its usual press conference, but instead held a special Nintendo Direct at its booth. The first thing that Nintendo showed us during that broadcast was information on the newest upcoming Pokémon games. Here’s some of the things Mr. Iwata revealed. [...]
There were tons of big reveals this week, but most exciting of all was clearly the Super Smash Bros. reveal with two never-before-seen combatants entering the fray: Mega Man and The Villager from AnimalCrossing, both of which make inspired entrances. Obviously I can’t contain myself with all the new knowledge we possess about Pokemon X and Y, with trailers for that hitting all over the place.
I’m also pretty stoked to see the new episode of The Walking Dead game was coming to Vita. But before E3 even started, fans were treated to the knowledge that RagnarokOdysseyAce would officially be released in the west sometime down the line. Still, it could be the free social RPG, Destiny of Spirits, that I put the most time into upon release.
To cover everything that happened at E3 this week, we’re calling in heavy reinforcements.
So join Rin, BigRedJake, OriginalMe8, Wolfie, Cutlets, and of course, KC & JV, for a discussion panel on all the big press events at E3, including the Game Freak roundtable on Pokemon XY. We also have all the big news to go over for the 3DS, Vita, iOS and Android.
Tonight we talk about Android gaming, what makes it so special, and where it’s heading with our special guest host OriginalMe8.
We also have lots of news for Vita, 3DS and mobile devices, including (but by no means limited to):
- How to get $50 for buying the Vita - Who’s selling Animal Crossing: New Leaf before its official release date - Unlock new missions with these QR codes for Etrian Odyssey IV - Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is coming to iPad
Although Nintendo announced that it would not be having a press conference at E3 this year, Nintendo isn’t completely out of the show.
Nintendo said that they will be showing a special 90 minute Nintendo Direct segment during E3 with a Q&A segment afterward. And who will be hosting this? Game Freak Director Junichi Masuda and Pokemon Company President Tsunekazu Ishihara. So call me crazy, but I think it’s safe to say that were going to be getting a lot of info on Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. X and Y news pumps me up like nothing else! [...]
