Pokemon Monday: The Tall Grass #1
This is a Pokemon comic series created by our own BigRedJake, and I plan to post some of his greatest hits every so often. With Pokemon X and Y recently announced, this one seemed to have just as much significance as it did back in August of 2010, when Pokemon Black and White were just off the horizon.
You can check out more of BigRedJake’s artful work at his Big Red Blog.

This was done BEFORE Black and White came out and it was thought Alomomola was rumored to be an evolution to Luvdisc.
And while Luvdisc didn’t get that evo, it still holds those lovely Heart Scales.
Anything new I do, the Pocket Players will see it first.

Dude, that’s awesome! You’re like a funny Prophet of Pokemon.
Are there more of these?

It could still happen! Have we ever seen an evolutionary link in a new gen that linked a “baby” to its final evolved form before? I can’t think of a previous example…

snorlax and munchlax

Nope, I mean in a three-evolution line where the first and last evolutions are in the games before a middle one. There are plenty of Pokémon where they introduce the earlier one (Budew, Bonsly, etc.)
Now if they introuduced an evolution between Munchlax and Snorlax … then we’re talkin’.

Would Farfetch’d be considered a “baby”? I assume they would just consider it a basic and then create an evolution for it. Maybe some kind of bird-dinosaur with a sword called “Preposterous”. Hahah

Amazing idea. I would use that Pokémon, and force it to be competitive.

It’s only a baby (as far as things like “Baby” tournaments in the games go) if it’s the lowest stage of evoltuion in a line that has at least one other Pokémon and should be hatchable from an egg. So if they made a Farfetch’d evolution (and I kinda hope they don’t because I like its “patheticness”) then yes it would be considered a baby.
