If you’ve grown weary of Ash over the past decade (even though he’s still 10 years old in the cartoon) then might I suggest the much less skilled yet infinitely more entertaining Rusty. You can see all of Rusty’s misadventures from the beginning on Dorkly.com.

Ash was really cool up till the end of Johto. I mean, the Pokemon series was always pretty “clean” (and by that i mean made so younger kids could watch), but once ash got to hoenn and onward, it just got way to mushy for me. Ash just had alot more personality back then. i dont know now he just seems like a puppet. plus i STILL just cant get over his new voice. and Meowths new voice. but whatever.
